This Pizza sauce is fast, simple and made with only 6 ingredients! If you need a mouth watering pizza sauce in a pinch, I got you.

We love pizza nights! When I have some extra veggies and meats I want to use up, this is what I make. It is fun for everyone to get involved in and is way cheaper (and better for you!) than delivery or store bought.
This 2 minute pizza sauce takes no time to make and gives a flavourful kick to any pizza every single time. We even love repurposing this as a pasta sauce or dip for cheese bread!
For years I bought a can of pizza sauce at the store for pizza nights. Once I read that the ingredients contained corn syrup, preservatives and red-40, I decided to make my own from home. Not only did we save $ BUT we fueled our bodies with better ingredients!

Pizza Sauce Ingredients
- Canned/Jarred Diced Tomatoes: These are already prepped for you to add into your blender and cut down on the preparation time. We do remove a bit of the juice here so the mixture is not watery. Make sure the label for these reads nothing more than tomatoes and maybe citric acid. If not, try another brand!
- Olive Oil: I like using anything from a light to a dark to a more robust flavour to a gentle flavoured olive oil. Anything works here!
- Salt: As always, I love sea salt. It is so good for your body and is a great electrolyte.
- Dried Herbs: Feel free to use fresh here, but dried is quick and does the trick!
- Garlic: Of course, you can’t have tomato sauce without garlic. Sometimes two or three cloves isn’t cutting it for me so I add in a few more for flavour, smell and health benefits. My kids like garlic too! If your kids are sensitive to garlic, feel free to reduce the amount used.

Make an extra batch of this if time allows and place the remaining pizza sauce in the freezer for your next (easy!) pizza night. Simply thaw your pizza sauce when needed and use as normal!
How To Make 2 Minute Pizza Sauce
First, grab your blender of choice (I use my Vitamix or even a hand blender) and a sieve. I will sometimes start making this while my crust is going thru its first bake cycle in the oven. That is how fast and easy this recipe is!

STEP 1: STRAIN YOUR TOMATOES
Using a sieve, pour your diced tomatoes into it and give a good shake to remove the excess juice. We do not want a watery pizza sauce! Add the tomatoes from the sieve into your blender.
STEP 2: BLEND
Add the remaining ingredients into the blender and blend until you reach your preferred consistency. I like it a little chunky for my pizza but my kids enjoy it more smooth. Sometimes I blend a bit, remove about half of the chunky sauce from the blender into a seperate bowl for my pizza, and then continue blending the rest of the sauce until smooth for my kids pizzas.
STEP 3: ENJOY!
Once blended, you are ready to spread these on your pizza before the toppings and bake until desired. The result is a fresh and flavourful sauce you will make over and over and over again. You can also freeze this sauce for 6 months too in an airtight container or freezer bag.
